    DAY 2: Today, after enjoying a continental breakfast, you will continue toward your destination. This evening, enjoy dinner before checking in at your New Orleans–area hotel for four nights.

    DAY 3: After a continental breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of New Orleans and learn about the past and present of what makes this unique city such a treasure. Then depart for the French Market District. Since 1791, the French Market has served and entertained millions of visitors in the French Quarter. Next, you will visit the National World War II Museum. You will experience a cinematic presentation on its 120-foot-wide screen—an amazing 4-D experience that engages all the senses through digital effects, full-scale animation, and immersive film and sound. Tonight, you will dine at a local New Orleans restaurant.

    DAY 4: After a continental breakfast, you will travel beyond the city limits of New Orleans to discover Destrehan Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Discover what life was like in another era as you are guided through the lovingly restored main house and its exhibits. Stroll among the other authentic buildings on the plantation grounds, watch the daily demonstration, or explore the unique gifts in the Destrehan Plantation gift shop. Then depart back to New Orleans. Enjoy free time in the French Quarter—shop, listen to great music, or simply take in the sights. Tonight, enjoy dinner with entertainment.

    DAY 5: Enjoy a continental breakfast, then head to MARDI GRAS WORLD. Learn about the history of Mardi Gras, see artists at work, and enjoy a slice of the famous King Cake! Next, you will visit Riverwalk, featuring more than 75 retailers and restaurants along the majestic Mississippi River. Later, you will go on a relaxing cruise on the Mississippi River. Unwind as you sail and explore the Mississippi. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
